Day 2

Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your Marrakech hotel and start the road trip. Firstly, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass. After some time, we will reach the ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a spectacular fortified Berber village with mud walls and houses, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will continue our journey through Ouarzazate and then enter the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of Roses. In one of the local villages, we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3

Day 3: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Erg Chebbi

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will continue our journey by road, crossing the rest of the Dades Valley. We will reach the Todra Gorges, a natural gorge with spectacular high and vertical walls.

We will then proceed to Erfoud, at the gateway to the desert, and shortly after to Merzouga. In this village, our camel trek through the dunes of Erg Chebbi will begin, and in the heart of these dunes, we will find the desert camp where we will have dinner and spend the night under the stars.

Day 4

We will wake up very early, before the sun rises, to witness the unparalleled natural spectacle of sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi. After that, we will have breakfast at the desert camp and return to Merzouga. From here, we will continue our journey by road, making necessary stops for rest, meals, and enjoying the surroundings.

Crossing the High Atlas Mountains once again, we will arrive in Marrakech in the late part of the day. In the evening, we will rest at a hotel in Marrakech.

Each day’s adventures begin around 8 AM. This early start allows us to make the most of the daylight to enjoy all the planned activities.

How long does the camel ride last?

The camel ride experience lasts about an hour to reach the camp. The next day, we will make the same journey back, enjoying new perspectives of the landscape.

Is it possible to bring luggage during the tour?

Of course, you can bring your luggage, which will be safe in the vehicle or at the hotel. For camel rides, you can only bring a backpack with essentials.

Are credit cards accepted at the places we will visit?

While some establishments may accept cards, it is advisable to carry cash as not all places have this facility.

What is the approximate cost of meals not included in the tour?

The cost of meals ranges from 7 to 12 euros, depending on the menu option you choose. It’s a great opportunity to taste the local cuisine at affordable prices.

Is it possible to end the tour in Ouarzazate?
